Washington State Correctional Health System Selects QuickMed, Inc. as EHR Vendor for Correctional Facilities Statewide



The Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs (WASPC) selected QuickMed Inc., as the EHR vendor for the Washington State Correctional Health System.

The Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs (WASPC) selected QuickMed Inc., as the EHR vendor for the Washington State Correctional Health System.



In a letter from Executive Director Donald G. Pierce, it was noted that QuickMed’s EHR capabilities, the integrity of the QuickMed staff and recent successes in other states were the primary reasons for the award. There are more than 90 facilities throughout Washington that will implement QuickMed as their Electronic Health Record system for inmate health care. QuickMed also will provide it's medication delivery and tracking system throughout the state.



This award is the second such state contract won by QuickMed, Inc. this year. The contract for the state of Nebraska Department of Correctional Services was awarded on September 19, 2005.



Other contracts obtained by QuickMed, Inc. in 2005 include Jefferson County of Golden, CO, Ada County of Boise, ID, El Paso County of Colorado Springs, CO and Benton County of Kennewick, WA.
