NC State University and OSHA have partnered to provide a free safety and health management training program online. This self-instructional course is designed for small - and medium - sized organizations, but is available to anyone.

Funded by a Susan Harwood grant, North Carolina State University has developed OSHA Safety and Health Management Systems for Small Businesses, a free, classroom-quality training online at www. ies. ncsu. edu/safetyhealthmgmt (http://www. ies. ncsu. edu/safetyhealthmgmt).
Small businesses oftentimes do not have an adequate work force or financial resources to implement an effective safety and health management system (SHMS). This course is designed to assist small - and medium-sized businesses in developing and implementing an effective SHMS.
