Pure Fruit Technologies Hires Director of Product Technologies and Food Science
Pure Fruit Technologies, a Utah-based manufacturer of innovative nutritional juice supplements, has appointed Wayne Geilman, Ph. D., to the position of director of product technologies and food science. Dr. Geilman will manage the formulation of new products, as well as develop processes that will allow Pure Fruit Technologies to continue to provide the health benefits of exotic fruits to people around the world.

Pure Fruit Technologies, a Utah-based manufacturer of innovative nutritional juice supplements, has appointed Wayne Geilman, Ph. D., to the position of director of product technologies and food science. Dr. Geilman will manage the formulation of new products, as well as develop processes that will allow Pure Fruit Technologies to continue to provide the health benefits of exotic fruits to people around the world.
“Dr. Geilman brings to Pure Fruit Technologies more than 30 years experience in food product research and development,” stated Dave Boyd, director of global operations, Pure Fruit Technologies. “His skills will be a valuable asset to the company as we continue to develop unique juice supplements that offer the most potent and harmonious blend of nutrients.”
Dr. Geilman has extensive background in the production, marketing and distribution of food products, and has worked in the food industry as a private consultant for nearly 20 years. He has worked closely with the FDA, USDA and several state agencies ensuring that quality assurance standards and requirements are met and exceeded. Prior to joining Pure Fruit Technologies, Dr. Geilman served as an adjunct professor at Utah State University. Additionally, he has worked as a food scientist for the Dairy Products Technology Center at California Polytechnic State University, Ridgeview Foods, Kraft and Quesos La Caperucita. Dr. Geilman holds bachelor’s degrees in Nutrition and Food Science and Business Administration from Utah State, a master’s in Nutrition and Food Science from Utah State and a Ph. D. in Food Science and Technology from Mississippi State.
